Lucid dreaming.. it just had to be. But this was no dream, and even if it was, there was nothing she could do to fix it.

The doctor was lying, he had to be. Tomoya was as stubborn as a bull, a real fighter, and the fact that he didn’t make it… Seemed to be nothing more than a lie to Nagisa.

“Tell me this is a joke, sir.” She speaks softly, a gentle smile on her face as her nails began to claw at the arm rest of the chair she was seated upon. “I’m sorry, Miss Inoue, but there was nothing we could do. The tumors ate him alive.” Her smile quickly disappeared, tears welling in her eyes faster than she could breathe. Using her free hand, she rubs at her eyes, not caring about the tears that ran freely down her cheeks.

Clawing harder at the arm rest, she could feel the small twinges of pain surge through her fingers as a couple of her nails began to bend painfully and almost break, the flesh becoming a pink-ish red color, and almost bleeding. “No.. No no no.” She shakes her head, her knuckles pressing hard against her forehead as she tried to take in the information. “I’m sorry, ma'am-” “No!” She nearly screams, cutting the doctor off, and finally taking a deep breath. Every smile, every laugh, every peaceful moment, as well as every painful moment, they creeped from her heart and implanted themselves into her mind, constantly alerting Nagisa of what she just lost. She lost someone dear to her; and damn it, she felt it hard. The doctor watches her, his expression twisted into one of sympathy, and sheer heartbreak. “Shall I give you some time alone?” A moment passes. Nagisa gives a shaky breath, balling the hand clawing at the arm rest into a fist and slamming it against the chair, as if it would calm her nerves. “I w-want to see him..” She speaks between sobs, unable to stop crying, and the doctor looks at her. “Are you sure, ma'am..?” She nods her head, feeling one of her heartstrings snap. “Please.. Tomoya meant so much to me..”
